rhi are working our client to find an Electrical Project Engineer for a site based brownfield construction project in KL.  The Electrical Project Engineer will provide dedicated electrical engineering and project execution support for a substation development.

Contract duration: 12 months temp

Based – Metro area KL

Working hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm

Responsibilities

The role will be responsible for electrical scope definition, design review, technical coordination, construction support, testing and commissioning readiness, contractor interface and project controls support.

The role will work closely with plant operations, maintenance, engineering SMEs, procurement, contractors, consultants and regulatory stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant and cost-effective delivery, applicable electrical codes, local regulatory requirements, project governance expectations and business priorities.

 

Key skills:

 

Experience with brownfield electrical works, power distribution, switchgear, substations, motor control systems, earthing, hazardous area considerations, electrical safety requirements and contractor supervision would be advantageous.

Project management qualification or demonstrable project delivery experience would be an added advantage.

Qualifications

Must have

  1. Minimum 8 years relevant experience.
  1. Have acted as a client side/Owners team Project Engineer - 
  2. Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred.
