rhi are seeking a ‘hands-on’ Procurement Digital Manager SME to play pivotal role in a global procurement digital transformation project within a global Oil & Gas leader.

You will drive efficiency, compliance, and innovation across the full end‑to‑end procurement process, ensuring technology and process work seamlessly together.

 

Contract duration: 6 months - Possible for extension

Based – KL Eco City

Office hours: Mon-Fri 8.30am – 5.30pm   WFH 60/40

Contract Rate: 12,000 – 15,000 MYR p.m  subject to suitability

Responsibilities

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for procurement digital systems and processes.- including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and S2P applications (e.g. SAP Ariba) – you will translate business needs into user stories, shape product roadmaps, and deliver solutions that support ‘the clients’ strategic objectives.

You will collaborate closely with procurement teams, IT, and global process owners to challenge the status quo, streamline workflows, ensure regional compliance and globally consistent digital processes.

Required experience:

 

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and functional requirements across the S2P cycle.
  • Experience ensuring procurement processes are effectively enabled by technology.
  • Hands-on experience with Materials Management (MM) modules in SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA, particularly in supporting procurement processes, system deployments, or functional enhancements.
  • A minimum of 10yrs of relevant experience as Product Manager/SME
  • Exposure to ‘digital transformation projects’ with procurement will be held in high regard.

 

The successful candidate should have:

  • Strong global procurement experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of procurement processes, operations, and best practices.
  • Proven experience leading digital transformation projects.
  • Experience managing procurement technology implementations.
  • Ability to bridge business process requirements and digital solution capabilities.
  • The position is more strategic and transformation-focused than operational.

 

 

Qualifications

Essential education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Postgraduate qualification related to procurement is a plus.
