rhi are supporting our client to find a capable Accounts Recharge SME to support an ongoing recharge transformation company wide project. Supporting the group with aspects relating to process standardisation, simplification and digitalisation within a global oil and gas client based in Kuala Lumpur.

  

We are seeking candidates that are either immediate or on a short notice period only

 

Duration: 6 month temp contract (with possible extension)

Responsibilities

The role

The Accounts Recharge SME will act as the finance owner of various recharge related activities and harmonize conflicting business priorities, such as Tax, Statutory, MI, Intercompany and embedded businesses.

 

Key accountabilities

  • Taking full ownership of the assigned Recharge cycle(s) based on the Clients Group Best practise model, including business review of recharge cycle upon completion with senior stakeholders.
  • Undertake the recharge calculations for the assigned group recharge portfolio using Recharge tool.
  • Drive group invoicing process and related reconciliation.
  • Provide support and challenge to process including reconciliation of cost pool, business understanding of the pool of costs and whether charges proposed to be made make sense.
  • Engagement in the governance process on strategy for cost pool changes & methods of allocation, impact to recharging & the supporting framework to justify allocations to relevant authorities.
  • Prepare supporting business cases & obtain approval from group tax & business leaders on new/change in recharging methodology.
  • Support statutory teams by ensuring that recharge process is executed according to the requirements set by statutory and tax teams.
  • Contributing to the group recharges & transfer pricing Governance board meetings including leading discussion on potential impact of changes in accounting & TP legislations, organizational & structure of
  • teams in FBT to support the client forward, areas to focus to ensure the client is future proofing previous recharges allocations.
  • Address process gaps, identify inefficiencies and help to embed a continuous improvement culture in the organisation.
  • Contribute to driving the clients transformation agenda and projects. Manage and support all adhoc operational requests, including tax and audit queries.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Finance/Business degree or equivalent qualification and experience.
  • Minimum of 6+ yrs as Accounts SME/Financial Analyst within a Tax, Statutory, MI and internal accounting functions.

 

Key Skills

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (accounting finance process)
  • Knowledge of the head office/central costs activity set, especially recharges.
  • 'Transfer pricing' experience is an additional advantage
  • Good level of analytical skills, numeracy and financial awareness
  • Must have a high level proficiency with Excel (pivot, xlookup, SUMIF).
  • Experience with SAP system is an advantage.
  • Language (English) and interpersonal skills with particular focus on stakeholder management

Other

  • Normal working hours with occasional need to support night calls (not every day)
  • Hybrid working arrangement (60:40). However, you must be flexible.
  • Monthly RM is between 10,000 – 13,000 MYR depending upon experience and suitability
  • Client states strong possibility of extension but no guarantee.
